Job summary

Valley Behavioral Health is seeking a Social Service Worker at the Carmen B. Pingree Autism Center of Learning to support children with autism and their families through compassionate, relationship-centered care that promotes safety, growth, and long-term success.

This role combines therapeutic support, skill-building, behavior management, and collaboration to help children build coping, communication, social, and daily living skills in a structured and supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field.
• SSW licensure in state of practice.
• CPR certification (post hire as needed)

Responsibilities

• Provides therapeutic behavior management as prescribed by care plan
• Assists therapist as needed to develop and review safety/crisis plans and care plans
• Coordinates services among internal/external agencies and internal/external providers
• Follows care plan to monitor progress, teach skills, address behavioral concerns, and bill accordingly
• Ensures continuity of care
• Meets required productivity standards and other organizational expectations

Education
