Job summary

Poudre School District is seeking a Paraprofessional II for the Center-Based Autism program at Shepardson Elementary in Fort Collins, CO. The role involves assisting both general and special education teachers, supporting students with significant needs, and implementing behavior plans to ensure inclusive access to the curriculum.

Starting immediately for a one-year position, 6.5 hours per day, 186 work days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of related experience preferred.
• Experience with special needs students preferred.
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist general or special education teachers with instruction and accommodations.
• Provide personal care, safety, and supervision for students.
• Support behavior intervention plans and crisis response as needed.
• Maintain detailed records on student progress and data entry for IEPs.
