Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist license required.
• Experience with autism or health impairments desirable.
• Skilled in developing and implementing behavior intervention plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead instruction in a self-contained classroom environment.
• Develop lesson plans aligned to students’ IEP goals and adapt materials as needed.
• Implement and track behavior intervention plans, employing proactive classroom management strategies.
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals and related service providers to support students’ academic, social, and behavioral development.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, communicate regularly with families, and participate in IEP meetings.
• Foster a safe, positive atmosphere for all learners.
