Team Select Home Care is seeking an Authorization Specialist I to manage authorization requests for all insurances. You will report to the Authorization Manager, RCM, and coordinate with field staff to confirm patient authorizations and responsibilities.

Responsibilities include checking eligibility, tracking authorizations, data entry into EMR, and generating routine reports. Strong communication and confidentiality are essential to success in this non-exempt role.

• Experience with data entry and EMR systems is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Check eligibility/benefits on patients as needed at intake and monthly for non-Medicaid insurances.
• Track and obtain all authorizations and reauthorizations for patient care across locations.
• Enter authorization information into the EMR and verify payor setup accuracy.
• Run daily, weekly, and monthly reports for the department.
• Communicate with internal and external customers to ensure proper use of authorizations.
