Job summary

Pfizer’s ISAM team seeks a Senior Manager of Authentication to lead strategy, architecture, and operations for enterprise authentication across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments.

You will oversee MFA, SSO, passwordless, and identity federation, partnering with Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, and development to deliver scalable, secure access while reducing risk.

This role requires strong collaboration, governance, and a track record of delivering complex IAM programs in a global setting.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in identity and access management, with at least 4 years focused on SSO.
• Deep understanding of SSO technologies and identity federation with MFA and cloud IAM.
• Knowledge of identity providers like Okta, Azure AD, or Ping Identity.
• Able to solve highly complex authentication and authorization problems within a Global environment.
• Strong understanding of security best practices related to identity management, including encryption, tokenization, and secure protocols.
• Experience in leading IAM system support, engineering, and operations teams within a Global Business Unit.
• Understanding of applicable laws and regulations including SOX and GXP guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive Authentication strategy to ensure secure and user-friendly access across all enterprise applications and platforms.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and ongoing optimization of the SSO/MFA framework.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate SSO & MFA into platforms and services.
• Maintain security controls and ensure compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, and NIST.
• Evaluate and select identity management tools and manage vendor relationships.
• Lead incident management and troubleshooting for SSO/MFA issues.
• Enhance user experience by simplifying login processes while maintaining high security.
• Develop KPIs and regularly report on SSO performance and security metrics.
