Family Best Care in Austin, WA is seeking a reliable caregiver to support a client with memory care needs. You will provide companionship, assist with daily living activities, promote safety, and help maintain a calm, structured environment.
Ideal candidates have dementia/memory care experience, compassion, patience, and strong attendance. The role requires completing tasks like bathing, dressing, mobility support, meal prep, documentation, and coordination with the Family Best Care office.

This is an ongoing client assignment requiring availability for the following shifts:
Monday- Friday
Applicants must be available to work the listed schedule as assigned.
The client resides on Whidbey Island, Washington.
Applicants should carefully consider commute time and transportation requirements before applying. Reliable transportation, punctuality, and consistent attendance are essential.
Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
Support bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene
Assist with mobility, transfers, and fall prevention
Provide companionship, conversation, and meaningful engagement
Offer calm reassurance and redirection when needed
Support daily routines and maintain a structured environment
Prepare meals and encourage hydration and nutrition
Monitor for safety concerns and changes in condition
Complete light housekeeping related to the client's care
Accompany the client on appointments, errands, or community activities as needed
Complete accurate documentation and care notes
Communicate client updates and concerns to the Family Best Care office promptly
Follow the care plan and established client routines
The ideal caregiver:
Has experience supporting clients with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory-related conditions
Is patient, calm, dependable, and compassionate
Understands the importance of routine and consistency
Provides respectful, person-centered care
Can redirect and reassure clients appropriately
Recognizes and responds to safety concerns
Communicates professionally with family members and office staff
Maintains strong attendance and reliability
Follows care plans and instructions carefully
$26.00 per hour
Overtime paid at 1.5x when applicable
Holiday pay for company-recognized holidays when applicable
Health insurance available for employees consistently working 35+ hours per week

Active Washington State HCA, CNA, or NAC credential
Current CPR certification
