Job summary

AMD is seeking a Supply Chain Intern/Co-op in Austin to join the Supply Chain Organization and support capacity planning, global logistics, and PIB planning. You will work 40 hours per week in a hybrid or onsite arrangement during the Co-op/Intern term.

You will gain hands-on exposure to end-to-end supply chain operations while collaborating with cross-functional teams and contributing to data-driven decision making through dashboards and analytics.

Qualifications

• Pursuing US-based Bachelor’s or Master’s in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Business Administration/Operations, or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel; strong PowerPoint proficiency.
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
• Experience with Power BI, dashboards, and data visualization.
• Knowledge of SQL, DAX, VBA or data science concepts.
• Familiarity with capacity modeling, planning, or program management methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Support capacity planning, logistics visibility, and PIB planning initiatives for AMD products.
• Analyze supply chain data to identify capacity constraints, risks, and improvement opportunities; model scenarios for planning.
• Assist in forecasting, inventory, throughput, and capacity alignment issues.
• Develop and maintain metrics, dashboards, and leading indicators for data-driven decisions.
• Collaborate with automation, IT, and analytics teams to improve data accuracy and automate processes.
• Document key supply chain processes including NPI and EOL planning.
• Contribute to program management activities including milestone tracking and executive updates.
• Present actionable insights to management using data visualization and storytelling tools.
• Participate in initiatives to improve supply chain visibility and efficiency.
