We are seeking expressions of interest from talented Auslan interpreters. Working from home, you would join our Video Relay Service team delivering the National Relay Service.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver exceptional customer service to the Deaf, speech communication difficulty, and hard of hearing communities.
• Provide an efficient response to customer requests.
• Maintain strict confidentiality while dealing with personal and sensitive information in an accurate and careful manner.

What we are looking for:

• Wired NBN Internet Connection - minimum download 10mbps+, minimum upload 10mbps+.
• Looking for Interpreters to work minimum 8 hours a week, Monday-Friday, 9am to 5pm.
• Saturday shift available 8am to 12noon - 25% penalty rate applies.
• NAATI accredited Provisional Interpreters and Certified Interpreters.
• 5+ years proven experience interpreting in a range of contexts within the Deaf community.
• Understand and follow the Interpreter Code of Ethics.
• Current ASLIA membership is preferable.
• Be available to undertake 3 days of online training.
