BWX Technologies, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior AUKUS Project Manager to oversee large on-site and off-site projects from the Erwin, Tennessee site. You will act as the principal client contact, directing project planning, budgets, and technical execution for complex nuclear initiatives.

The role requires a B.S. in engineering or a technical discipline with 10+ years of experience, including 4+ years in chemical process development, operations, or environmental services.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering or technical discipline.
• Over ten years of experience with minimum 4 years in chemical process development, operations, design, or environmental services.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interfacing with staff, management, and clients.
• Experience in decommissioning and construction; PMP preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Propose, plan, execute, review operations, including schedules and budgets to meet performance objectives.
• Interface with customers and management to ensure needs and objectives are met while maximizing benefits to NFS.
• Provide leadership and technical direction to project teams including subcontractors; supervise staff development.
• Coordinate with functional groups and support teams (Health and Safety, Regulators, Lab, Environmental Services, Engineering) to achieve project goals.
• Prepare reports and presentations for management, clients, and regulators.
• Instill a quality-focused attitude in project teams and ensure compliance with regulatory and QA programs.
• Provide regulatory liaison support, including presentations and technical information for inspections as needed.
• Prepare technical and cost proposals for proposed projects.

Position Overview

Senior level manager with full responsibility and authority for management of large on-site and off-site projects. Position is principal point of contact with clients on off-site projects.

On-site in Erwin, Tennessee.

Your Day to Day as a AUKUS Project Manager Senior:

• Propose, plan, execute, review operations, including preparing schedules and budgets to ensure performance and project objectives are achieved.


• Interface with customers and management to ensure the customer's needs and objectives are met while maximizing benefits to NFS.


• Provide management leadership and technical direction to project teams including subcontractors. Supervisory functions include appraisal of and participation in professional development planning for subordinate staff.


• Solicit appropriate resources from functional groups. Communicate and coordinate with support groups such as Health and Safety, Regulator Compliance, Laboratory, Environmental Services, Engineering and Technical Services to ensure project goals, including technical, schedule, and budget are achieved.


• Prepare reports and make presentations, as required, to management, clients, and regulators.


• Instill a quality performance attitude in project teams(s) including satisfying the requirements of regulatory and Quality Assurance Programs.


• Provide technical support and/or direct liaison support for regulatory agency interface, if required, on clients' behalf, including making presentations to regulatory agencies and providing technical information in response to routine inspection and special investigations.


• Prepare technical and cost proposals for proposed projects.

Required Qualifications

B. S. -- Engineering or Technical discipline.

Over ten years' experience. Technical industry experience including minimum of 4 years involving chemical process development, operations, design or environmental services. Interpersonal and communication skills critically important for interfacing with staff, management, and clients. Team leadership, initiative and decision making abilities acquired through experience are essential for successful projects.

Experience in Decommissioning and construction. PMP preferred but not required.

Pay: $131,480- $207,000

The base salary range for this position in Tennessee (US-TN) at the start of employment is expected to be between $131,480 and $207,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,’ unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement.
