About the Team

The AUKUS, Submarines, and Industrial Base Group (ASIG), within the Sea, Land, Air Division, provides timely, objective assessments that integrate technical, operational, programmatic, policy, and business analysis for NAVSEA Team Submarine program offices and stakeholders. The team oversees submarine procurement activities including the Columbia-class SSBN program, Virginia-class SSN program, and the new SSN-X program, supporting the future of undersea warfare capabilities. These programs are critical to the US Navy's strategic interests.

Position Overview

SPA seeks a Program Analyst to support the AUKUS I&A Office's Phase 2 Team as an action-officer, providing technical and programmatic support for submarine sale initiatives and related activities.

Responsibilities

The Program Analyst will:

1. Support the NAVSEA AUKUS program as an action-officer for the Phase 2 Mission Systems Working Group.
2. Coordinate with government and industry partners across the US, UK, and Australia to facilitate Virginia Class submarine sales.
3. Assist with action tracking, risk management, scheduling, event coordination, budget management, and technical assistance.

This role is based at SPA HQ in Alexandria, VA, with frequent travel (~15%) to the Washington Navy Yard and other stakeholder locations.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree
• 5+ years of government or military experience
• Ability to work on-site in Alexandria, VA, with occasional remote work (up to 40%)
• Experience with submarine design, construction, operation, or maintenance
• Active SECRET security clearance

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with Foreign Military Sales (FMS)
