The AUKUS, Submarines, and Industrial Base Group (ASIG), within the Sea, Land, Air Division, provides timely, objective, analytic assessments that integrate technical, operational, programmatic, policy and business analysis to NAVSEA Team Submarine program offices and key stakeholders surrounding submarine platform construction. Team Submarine unifies submarine platform procurement activities, which includes the Columbia-class SSBN program (a Major Defense Acquisition Program and the Navy's top acquisition priority), the Virginia-class SSN program and the new SSN-X program (developing the next generation attack submarine), to bring improved capabilities to our undersea forces. Analysts and Engineers supporting Team Submarine will continue SPA's decades of support to the SSBN force, as well as supporting oversight of cutting-edge attack submarine construction, assisting in developing the design requirements for the SSN platform of the future, and helping plan and execute new and innovative strategies to strengthen the critical submarine shipbuilding industrial base. These are high-profile, major acquisition and manufacturing programs of significant importance to the future capabilities of the US Navy in an era of renewed strategic competition.






Responsibilities




The Scheduler will provide support to the NAVSEA AUKUS program, focusing on program support to undersea platform acquisition. Responsibilities as a Scheduler will include collaboration efforts within AUKUS I&A and with partner nations in support of building the Integrated Master Scheduler (IMS); build and maintain the AUKUS I&A program schedule, to include stakeholder engagement with building and updating respective projects; conduct analysis to generate metrics on and against the IMS; compliance with AUKUS schedule management guidance and relevant NAVSEA policies; collaborate with team members to enhance schedule management frameworks and tools; lead schedule reviews with AUKUS I&A leadership and stakeholders.

This position is based out of SPA's Alexandria, VA HQ, with potential for light telework and frequent travel to client and stakeholder locations (2-3x a week), including potential international travel.






Qualifications




Required Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree
  • 10 years of integrated master scheduling experience
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Project
  • Ability to work with complex schedules
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Current DoD security clearance - minimum Secret, with the ability to maintain it throughout employment

Additional Qualifications Desired, but not required:

  • Experience with shipbuilding
  • Experience with Open Plan Professional by Deltek
  • Experience with Team Submarine and NAVSEA
  • Experience/knowledge of Navy acquisition program office organizations and processes
  • Experience with an Integrated Baseline Review (IBR)
  • Experience with establishing and monitoring a Program Measurement Baseline (PMB)
  • Experience working with international partners
