Augustana College Wrestling is seeking an Assistant Coach responsible for managing men's and women's wrestling programs. This role includes coaching, recruitment, scheduling, and ensuring compliance with NCAA regulations. Candidates should have a strong background in coaching, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to student-athlete success.
Overview: Is responsible for assisting in the overall management of the College's men's and women's wrestling programs including coaching, recruitment and retention of student-athletes, scheduling and budget management, equipment ordering, scheduling contests, viable fundraising, public relations, and other duties.
Job Duties:
Education: Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred in a related field.
Skills & Experience:
Work Hours & Travel: This position requires travel to away contests during the season and to high school/club events, and other opportunities to meet with prospective students. Extended weekend and evening hours especially during the wrestling season are expected. Current valid driver's license required.
Physical Requirements: This position is located on campus and works in a traditional office environment.The below requirements are expected:
Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a frequent basis. Also required is the ability to listen, hear, speak, read, write, climb stairs, bend, stoop, and stand for intermittently long periods of time. Must be able to use a computer to accomplish a variety of job tasks.

Successful candidates must pass a criminal background check.
