Job summary

Leland is seeking an experienced AR/VR coach to guide students entering or advancing in AR/VR development, with emphasis on building technical foundations, portfolios, and career strategies. You will mentor students, review their resumes and LinkedIn profiles, and help prepare them for behavioral and technical interviews.

You’ll host virtual sessions on a flexible schedule, collaborating with the team to deliver a high‑quality, supportive learning experience and provide guidance on networking

• Review resumes and cover letters, refine LinkedIn profiles, and prepare students for behavioral and technical interviews.
• Provide guidance on networking strategy and salary negotiation as students work toward landing roles in the field.

We're seeking an experienced AR/VR professional to coach students looking to break into or advance within the field. This role includes helping students strengthen their technical foundation across AR/VR development, spatial computing, 3D interaction design, and XR hardware and software. Coaches also support career development by reviewing resumes and cover letters, refining LinkedIn profiles, and preparing students for both behavioral and technical interviews, along with guidance on networking strategy and salary negotiation as they work to land roles in the field. Ideal candidates have significant hands-on experience in AR/VR development (industry, research, or freelance), prior mentoring or teaching experience, and a clear, structured approach to explaining complex technical concepts and career strategy alike. Coaches set their own hours and rates, host sessions virtually, and partner with our team to deliver a high-quality, supportive experience for every student.
