Job summary

Ohio Valley Electric Corporation is seeking an Augmented Right of Way Operator for a contract position at our Corporate location. You will perform maintenance of rights of way and assist with constructing, inspecting and operating transmission facilities.

Responsibilities include operating heavy equipment (excavators, skid steers, cranes), performing safety inspections, clearing vegetation near high‑voltage lines, and supporting station work with adherence to safety rules.

Qualifications

• Must possess general knowledge to perform duties listed.
• Ability to travel to complete work assignments.
• Must hold valid CDL and comply with safety rules and practices.
• Familiarity with CPR/First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators, skid steers, and forestry mulchers.
• Operate company vehicles, cranes, aerial lifts and related equipment.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and basic field maintenance.
• Clear trees and brush near high-voltage lines using chainsaws and hand tools.
• Assist in station work: installing conduit, wiring, digging trenches, and setting up safety signs.
• Maintain transmission lines and station equipment; assist in testing oil samples.
