Continental Heavy Civil Corp in Sarasota, FL, seeks an experienced Superintendent to oversee heavy civil projects with a focus on auger foundation operations. You will lead field operations, coordinate multiple crews, and ensure work stays on schedule and within budget.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of superintendent experience in heavy civil construction, with preferred experience in drilled shafts, auger cast piles, and deep foundations, plus strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of Superintendent experience in heavy civil construction.
• Experience with auger foundation work (drilled shafts, auger cast piles) preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specs, and schedules.
• Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather.
• FDOT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee field operations to ensure safety, on schedule, and within budget.
• Manage auger foundation work and deep foundation operations.
• Coordinate daily activities of field personnel, subcontractors, equipment operators, and suppliers.
• Review project plans, specs, and schedules for efficient execution.
• Assess labor and equipment needs and report to PM.
• Provide technical guidance on methods, sequencing, and equipment.
• Coordinate with surveyors, engineers, inspectors, and stakeholders.
• Serve as primary field liaison between PM and foremen.
• Monitor production, quality, and OSHA compliance.
• Conduct safety meetings and toolbox talks.
• Maintain daily reports of manpower, equipment, weather, progress.
• Identify and resolve field issues to keep schedules.
