Job summary

National Beef Leathers in St. Joseph, Missouri is seeking a Night Shift Quality Assurance Auditor to help ensure product quality throughout the production process.

The role features a 3½ day work week with a 4-week rotation, competitive wages, and comprehensive benefits in a safe, on-site environment. Responsibilities include monitoring quality attributes, communicating concerns to Production leadership, documenting daily samples, maintaining quality records, and cross-training across QA

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write in English.
• Two to five years of manufacturing experience in tannery or QA.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and machinery.
• Manual dexterity for operating machinery and computers.
• Available to work all shifts, weekends, holidays.
• Analytical thinking and problem solving.
• Attention to detail and strong communication.
• Self-motivated, confidentiality maintained.
• Basic computer skills and understanding of QA concepts.
• Able to lift hides up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Input quality attributes and monitor product quality throughout the production process
• Communicate quality concerns, trends, and issues with Production personnel and leadership
• Collect, evaluate, and document daily samples
• Promote and support a safe work environment, including compliance with all PPE requirements
• Provide departmental coverage as needed
• Participate in cross-training and become proficient in all Quality Assurance functions
• Maintain accurate quality records and documentation
• Knowledgeable in Hide Brand Sortation
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by management

This is a safety sensitive position. This is an on-site position.

Cualificaciones

Qualified Candidates for the Night Shift Quality Auditor position should have the following skills:

• Must be able to read and write in English

• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent

• Knowledge of the manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery. This is normally acquired through two to five years of manufacturing experience in a tannery or a previous Quality Assurance position

• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers

• Availability to work all shifts, flexible hours, flexible days/evenings to include weekends and holidays

• Conceptual/Analytical thinking

• Attention to detail

• Problem solving

• Excellent communication skills - verbal and written

• Self-motivated and self-starter

• Maintain confidentiality

• Basic computer skills

• Understanding of various quality aspects

• Able to lift hides up to 100#
