Job summary

Peraton, a next-generation national security company, is seeking an Auditor for SafeGuard Services (SGS). The role focuses on data analysis, investigations, and medical reviews to detect fraud and ensure compliance. Primary duties include performing cost report audits, risk-based audits, and research for moderately complex projects, with telework options available from Florida.

Ideal candidates have substantial audit experience, strong Excel and Office skills, and U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years with a BS/BA or 9 years of experience with a HS Diploma.
• Typically 2+ years of related experience in finance, accounting or audit.
• Intermediate knowledge of internal audit policies and operating principles.
• Intermediate understanding of Medicaid or healthcare auditing and their revenue cycles.
• Intermediate risk assessment and scoping skills.
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office tools, including intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel.
• U.S. citizenship required

• Identifies inherent and residual risks and conducts risk-based audits.

Responsibilities

SafeGuard Services (SGS), a subsidiary of Peraton, performs data analysis, investigation, and medical review to detect, prevent, deter, reduce, and make referrals to recover fraud, waste, and abuse.

We are looking to add an Auditor to our SGS team of talented professionals.

What you'll do:

Individual applies intermediate level of subject matter knowledge to solve a variety of common business issues. Works on problems of moderately complex scope. Acts as an informed team member providing analysis of information and limited project direction input. Exercises independent judgment within defined practices and procedures to determine appropriate action. Follows established guidelines and interprets policies. Evaluates unique circumstances and makes recommendations.

Target Salary Range

$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
