Job summary

The Export-Import Bank of the United States Office of the Inspector General seeks an auditor to perform audits and reviews of EXIM programs and activities, evaluating economy, efficiency, and effectiveness, results, compliance, and financial reliability. Duties at GS-11 and GS-12 levels are performed under closer supervision.

Qualifications require a degree in accounting or auditing with statutory hours, or a combination of education and experience meeting the 24 accounting hours requirement;

Qualifications

  • Basic qualifications include a degree in accounting, auditing, or a related field with 24 semester hours in accounting.
  • One year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level (GS-09) for GS-11 eligibility.
  • For GS-12 eligibility, one year of specialized experience at the GS-11 level plus required education or a combination thereof.

Responsibilities

  • Perform audits and reviews of programs and activities to assess economy, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • Evaluate compliance with laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Prepare audit workpapers and draft reports, identifying deficiencies and risks.
