Job summary

The U.S. House of Representatives Office of Inspector General in Washington, DC seeks qualified professionals for HS-10/HS-11 positions focusing on performance and financial audits. Education

• Undergraduate degree and 24 semester hours in accounting (up to 6 hours may be business law)required.
• Applicable graduate degree or professional certification ispreferred for HS-10andrequired for HS-11. Qualifying certifications include: CPA, CIA, CFE, CISA, CISSP, PMP, LSS, and CGFM.

Experience

• HS-10: Experience and knowledge of performance and financial audits and knowledge of investigative tools and techniques.
• HS-11: Extensive experience and knowledge of performance and financial audits and knowledge of investigative tools and techniques.

• Knowledge of GAO Government Auditing Standards.
• Knowledge of risk assessment concepts.
• Knowledge and understanding of work management concepts.

Additional Requirements

• Pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting.
• Pre-employment drug test.
• Must reside in or relocate to the Washington, D.C. area. Relocation expenses will not be paid.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or meet House employment eligibility requirements.

Work Environment and Location

This position is based in Washington, DC. Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Telework may be available at the discretion of the Inspector General. Overnight travel is rare.
