Job description

Job Title: Auditor/Educator—ProFee

Location: Remote (Approved States: TX, OK, TN, LA, AR, FL, GA, SC, NE)

Pay: $30 - $38/hr

About the Role: Addison Group is seeking an Auditor/Educator on behalf of our client for a position focusing on (ProFee). The ideal candidate will have expertise in coding for surgical encounters within EPIC Charge Review and must be highly skilled in at least one of the following specialties: Hospitalist, Palliative Care, Cardiology, Urology, Family Medicine, Bariatrics, Pediatrics, Gastroenterology, or General Surgery/OB-GYN.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Review surgical encounters within EPIC Charge Review.
  2. Provide coding education and training to physicians and support staff.
  3. Conduct research to update and maintain coding education materials.
  4. Interpret regulatory changes and coding updates, ensuring compliance with external and internal guidelines.
  5. Offer subject matter expertise on procedural and ICD-10 coding.
  6. Serve as a resource to physicians, office staff, and coding teams, addressing coding-related queries.
  7. Ensure adherence to all relevant guidelines, promoting patient safety and meeting internal quality standards.
  8. Act as a mentor and resource to junior team members, contributing to their professional growth.

Qualifications:

  1. Strong knowledge of outpatient coding practices, including procedural and ICD-10 coding.
  2. Experience with EPIC software.
  3. Ability to adapt quickly and provide education on documentation and coding requirements.
  4. Must be available to work Monday through Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM.

Additional Information:

  1. Training period of approximately 4 weeks; however, candidates should be ready to hit the ground running.
  2. No vaccines required for this remote position.
  3. Candidates will undergo an audit/educator test involving real charts from EPIC (details will be provided).
