Job description

As an Auditor, you will use your knowledge and experience to optimize business results and customer experience by:

• Assuring that the financial management system and internal controls are adequate; and to ascertain the degree of compliance with mission responsibilities, applicable laws, regulations, standard operating procedures, and accounting and financial policies.
• Utilizing professional accounting and auditing skills to maintain oversight for implementation of appropriate laws, directives, and regulations of financial internal control programs and procedures.
• Developing or modifying auditing methods and techniques to resolve a variety of complex auditing problems.
• Analyzing and evaluating reports, findings, statements of corrective action, draft findings, conclusions and recommendations to remain apprised of status and progress of audits and inspections.
• Answering a variety of inquiries posed by supervisors and Bureau/Office representatives.
