Job summary

Actors’ Equity Association in Chicago is seeking part-time Audition Monitors to help run auditions in its Downtown office. You will work with actors and casting personnel to ensure a smooth, rule-governed audition experience and to manage materials. The role requires reliability, punctuality, and excellent customer service.

Auditions occur Monday through Friday with occasional weekend work; hours depend on the audition schedule. This is a part-time, on-site position based in Chicago, IL.

Actors’ Equity Association, the union of professional theater actors and stage managers in the United States, is hiring part-time Audition Monitors in its Chicago office. Actors’ Equity is a national union affiliated with the AFL-CIO. The Audition Monitors will be responsible individuals who lead ahigh-quality and organized audition experience. This is a part-time position. Auditions are primarily Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work. Hours are based on the audition schedule and may vary from week to week. This position is located in Downtown Chicago.

Responsibilities:

• Work with actors, casting personnel, and others to facilitate the smooth running of Equity auditions
• Ensure that all rules governing audition procedures are followed
• Effectively organize and maintain audition materials
• Represent Equity at auditions and calmly and courteously enforce rules as necessary
• Must be reliable and show up on time as scheduled

Knowledge and Skills

Compensation:

19.00/hour
