Job summary

United Wholesale Mortgage (UWM) invites interns to participate in a 12-week Corporate Finance rotation focused on Internal Audit & Controls. You will gain hands-on experience auditing business units, testing controls, and supporting regulatory requirements while learning mortgage industry compliance.

You will work 40 hours per week on-site in Pontiac, MI, with exposure to senior leaders and project work designed to develop analytics, budgeting, forecasting, and data analysis skills.

Qualifications

• Must graduate in 2027 or 2028 (current junior/senior).
• Ability to work 40 hours per week on-site in Pontiac, MI from May 17 to August 6.
• Willingness to learn, be coached, and adapt in a changing industry.
• Ability to thrive in a team environment.
• Strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Execute on annual internal audits and SOX internal controls audits.
• Test controls and regulatory requirements for various business units.
• Collaborate with leaders to identify risks and improve controls.
• Assist IT general controls and user access processes.
• Support remediation efforts and documentation of new processes.
