The City of Charleston is seeking an auditor to perform audits of City Business & Occupation Tax, Hotel Occupancy Tax, Utility Excise Tax, Amusement Tax, and City Service Fee returns.
Ideal candidates will have a High School diploma or GED and at least three months of auditing or accounting experience, plus a valid West Virginia Driver's License. The role may involve extended hours as needed to meet departmental goals.
Performs audits of City Business & Occupation Tax returns, Hotel Occupancy Tax returns, Utility Excise Tax returns, Amusement Tax returns and City Service Fee returns.
This position will be expected to work a schedule established by the Department Head. Typical hours may generally be 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Other and/or additional hours may be necessary to accomplish City and departmental goals, including nights, weekends and /or holidays.
