Position Summary

Novogradac & Company LLP is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our rapidly growing firm. The Senior Accountant will handle various tax, audit, and other assignments as assigned by the Manager. This role requires minimal supervision, with an emphasis on supervising and mentoring Staff, solving problems independently, building client relationships, and boosting team profitability. Some positions may offer remote or hybrid work arrangements based on business needs; please discuss options with your recruiter.

Your Contributions and Responsibilities
  • Complete tax and/or audit projects for clients with minimal oversight.
  • Conduct detailed engagement reviews.
  • Take on increasing responsibility in managing engagements.
  • Identify potential issues during engagements and suggest solutions.
  • Research business-specific topics, analyze data, interpret results, and prepare reports with recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain effective client relationships through professionalism and responsiveness.
  • Enhance industry skills through training courses.
  • Increase team profitability by managing time efficiently and contributing ideas.
  • Supervise and mentor Staff Accountants.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • If not already obtained, work towards CPA certification.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, 3-5 years of relevant experience, and eligibility to sit for the CPA exam. CPA license is a plus. Experience in areas like affordable housing, tax credits, real estate, or nonprofit sectors is beneficial but not mandatory.
