ExcelliSearch, Inc. in the Chicago North Suburbs is seeking an Audit Supervisor to lead employee benefit plan audits and other for-profit engagements. The role offers hybrid work, direct client exposure, and collaboration with Partners.

You will supervise staff, manage budgets and timelines, and develop strong client relationships while delivering high-quality service and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of public accounting experience in audit.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or related field.
• CPA preferred.
• Employee Benefit Plan audit experience desirable.
• Experience supervising staff.
• Strong technical accounting and audit skills.
• Excellent communication and client-relations skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead employee benefit plan audits from planning through completion.
• Supervise and develop staff accountants.
• Develop engagement work plans, budgets, schedules and staffing requirements.
• Monitor engagement progress and communicate with Managers and Partners.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients.
• Develop and tailor audit programs based on client needs and risk.
• Review and/or prepare financial statements, footnotes, workpapers and tax returns.
• Analyze complex transactions and identify issues requiring research.
• Manage engagement economics, including budgeting and billing.
• Prepare Form 990 and business tax returns associated with audits.
