Job summary

Glenn Burdette, a growing accounting and consulting firm on the Central Coast, seeks an Audit Supervisor to lead engagements across clients in CA, including Paso Robles, San Luis Obispo, and Santa Maria. You will plan, execute, and supervise audit/assurance work while mentoring staff and communicating with clients.

The role emphasizes strong GAAP knowledge, project management, and collaboration in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

The Role

As an Audit Supervisor at Glenn Burdette, you will lead and manage the execution of audit engagements of various clients in accordance with the relevant regulatory and professional auditing and assurance standards. You will carry out your outstanding project management, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills. You will participate in training and supervision of staff and advise on audit/assurance matters. Openings are available in our San Luis Obispo, Paso Robles, and Santa Maria offices.

Key Responsibilities

• Effectively plan and execute audit/assurance engagements.
• Identify business process risks and develop recommendations based on audits.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior management and clients.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate staff on client engagements.
• Organize and monitor the progress of client engagement in relation to budgets and due dates.
• Function as communication channel between senior management, clients, and staff.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of four years of audit/assurance experience.
• Single audit, not for profit, and for-profit audit experience.
• Experience with Caseware, Engagement Manager, and PPC.
• In-depth knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Self-motivator with the ability to multi-task and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• A strong desire toward career advancement and goal toward future firm ownership.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Working towards becoming a licensed Certified Public Accountant (if not already licensed).
• Experience with Data Snipper and Crunchafi (formerly LeaseCrunch).
• Experience with Microsoft 365 (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).

The pay range for this role is $105,000 - $130,000 per year. This range includes the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual compensation may vary based on various factors, including experience, education, and/or skill level.
