Job summary

Glenn Burdette in California is seeking an Audit Manager to lead audit engagements for diverse clients from our San Luis Obispo, Paso Robles, and Santa Maria offices.

The role emphasizes project management, staff supervision, and advisory input on audit/assurance matters in a team-oriented, high-quality environment with strong client relations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of audit/assurance experience.
• Single audit, not-for-profit, and for-profit audit experience.
• Licensed CPA.
• Experience with Caseware, Engagement Manager, and PPC.
• In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Self-motivator with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Strong desire toward career advancement and future firm ownership.

• Identify business process risks and develop recommendations based on audits.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior management and clients.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate staff on client engagements.
• Organize and monitor the progress of client engagements relative to budgets and due dates.
• Manage day-to-day client relationships.
• Function as the communication channel between senior management, clients, and staff.

The Role

As an Audit Manager at Glenn Burdette, you will lead and manage the execution of audit engagements of various clients in accordance with the relevant regulatory and professional auditing and assurance standards. You will carry out your outstanding project management, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills. You will participate in training and supervision of staff and advise on audit/assurance matters. Key Responsibilities

• Self-motivator with the ability to multi-task and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• A strong desire toward career advancement and goal toward future firm ownership.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Governmental audit experience.
• Experience with Data Snipper and Crunchafi (formerly LeaseCrunch).
• Experience with Microsoft 365 (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).

The pay range for this role is $130,000 - $165,000 per year. This range includes the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual compensation may vary based on various factors, including experience, education, and/or skill level.
