Job summary

Withum is seeking a Real Estate Audit Supervisor in New York City to lead audit engagements from planning to completion, supervising staff and ensuring client service excellence. • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.

• At least 4 years of public accounting experience, with experience leading multiple engagements and supervising staff.
• Experience auditing real estate or related organizations.
• Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills including familiarity with US GAAP.
• Exceptional client service and communication skills.
• Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills, with strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.

• Review general ledger accounts and financial statements for reliability and compliance.
• Manage multiple engagements concurrently with various teams.
• Create and track engagement budgets to review for inefficiencies.
• Conduct discussions with team members on their evaluations and provide counsel accordingly.
• Serve in professional development programs as an instructor or discussion leader.

Job Description:

This Real Estate Audit Supervisor role will be based out of New York City office. You'll work alongside an integrated team of seasoned, well-known CPAs and industry leaders. In this position, you will take a lead role on all aspects of audit engagements, from planning to completion, to include supervision/mentoring of staff and building/maintaining relationships with clients in our real estate practice. How You’ll Spend Your Time:

• Experience auditing real estate or related organizations
• Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills including familiarity with US GAAP due to the complexity of the engagements in this sector
• Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships
• Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills to represent the Firm well to client’s management
• Excellent analytical, organizational, project management skills, strong attention to detail, and proven innovative problem-solving skill

The compensation for this position ranges from $90,000-$165,000. In addition to the base compensation, Withum offers a competitive benefits package and bonus program (for eligible roles) based on individual and firm performance. Final offer amounts are based on multiple factors such as the specific role, hiring location, as well as the individual’s skills, experience and qualifications.
