Job summary

Withum is seeking an Audit Supervisor based in Houston, TX. You will lead audit engagements from planning to completion, supervising staff and guiding client communication. You will work with integrated teams to ensure high‑quality service and strong relationships with clients.

Applicants should hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, be CPA‑eligible or licensed, and bring 3+ years of public accounting experience with demonstrated leadership across engagements. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
• CPA license or working towards CPA with parts passed.
• At least 3 years of public accounting experience, with experience leading multiple engagements.
• Strong analytical, technical and auditing skills including familiarity with US GAAP.
• Excellent client service and communication skills with ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engagement team staff on planning and execution of audits, reviews or compilations to deliver world‑class client service.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the audit engagement from staffing to financial reporting and conclusion.
• Provide supervision and support to staff, seniors and supervisors and communicate with the engagement partner.
• Collaborate with seniors, supervisors and partners on client issue resolution and recommend actions on regulatory and accounting issues.
• Manage multiple engagements with various teams to meet client deadlines.
• Create and track engagement budgets and discuss evaluations with team members and provide counsel.
• Contribute to professional development programs as an instructor or discussion leader.

Withum's Auditing and Attest Engagement services are the cornerstone of our firm. Withum's audit and advisory team possess the expertise necessary to give stakeholders confidence in financial information. This team provides audit services, review and compilation services and other agreed upon audit procedures to a variety of client sizes and industries.

This Audit Supervisor role will be based out of our Houston, TX.You'll work alongside an integrated team of seasoned, well-known CPAs and industry leaders. In this position, you will take a lead role on all aspects of audit engagements, from planning to completion, to include supervision/mentoring of staff and building/maintaining relationships with clients.

How You'll Spend Your Time:

• Leading the engagement team staff on the planning and execution of an audit, review or compilation engagement to effectively and efficiently provide world-class client service to clients
• Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the audit engagement from staffing, planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, financial reporting and the conclusion
• Providing supervision and support to the engagement staff, seniors and supervisors and promote open communication to the engagement partner
• Collaborating with engagement team seniors or supervisors and partners on client issue resolution and make recommendations for any legal, regulatory and accounting issues that arise during an audit engagement
• Managing multipleengagements concurrently with various teams to efficiently meet client deadlines
• Creating and track engagement budgets to review for inefficiencies that may arise during the audit \Conduct constructive discussions with team members on their evaluations and providing counsel accordingly
• Serving in professional development programs as an instructor or discussion leader

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• CPA license, or working towards CPA certification with parts passed
• At least3years of public accounting experience, with experience leading multiple engagements and supervising staff
• Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills including familiarity with US GAAP
• Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects
• Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills to represent the Firm well to client's management
• Excellent analytical, organizational, project management skills, strong attention to detail, and proven innovativeproblem-solvingskills
• Ability to travel as needed

The compensation range for this position is $85,000 - $175,000 and varies by location for candidates residing in California, Illinois, New Jersey, New York, Maryland, Massachusetts, Oregon, Rhode Island, or Washington. For candidates residing in these states, salary will vary based on candidate's location. In addition to the base compensation, Withum offers a competitive benefits package and bonus program (for eligible roles) based on individual and firm performance. Final offer amounts are based on multiple factors such as the specific role, hiring location, as well as the individual's skills, experience, and qualifications.
