Amazon Security in Herndon, VA is seeking an Audit Specialist to join a growing internal audit team supporting U.S. Government workloads.

You will conduct internal control assessments, track remediation actions to closure, and partner with AWS teams to identify control gaps and drive improvements. You will engage with external auditors, interpret contractual requirements, and write clear reports to stakeholders and senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of auditing business processes, risk mitigation, program compliance or internal audits experience
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
• Experience with U.S. federal IT standards and controls, including NIST publications, IC Directives, and DoD standards

In this role, you will conduct internal control assessments, and track remediation actions to closure across US Dedicated Cloud regions.You will also partner with AWS team to analyze their processes and identify internal control gaps or process improvement opportunities. You will conduct internal reviews to identify risk, design and implement controls, and work with stakeholders to remediate findings. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
