Job summary

Royal Credit Union in Eau Claire, WI is offering an Audit Services internship within our Audit Services Department. Under the direction of the Audit Services Manager, you will perform and assist with financial, operational and compliance audits in accordance with applicable auditing standards and communicate effectively with management and team members.

This limited-term, non-benefit eligible internship runs May 2027 through May 2028.

Qualifications

• Enrolled at a university pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Apply objectivity, analytical thinking and critical thinking in evaluating information.
• Use Microsoft Office products to support audit work, analysis, documentation and communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform and assist with operational, financial, and compliance audits by learning and applying basic internal audit skills.
• Identify, analyze, evaluate, and document information to achieve audit objectives.
• Draft constructive recommendations addressing identified risks.
• Support external audit preparation and administrative activities for the Audit Services team.
• Protect department confidentiality, apply ethics, and comply with Bank Secrecy Act where applicable.

The Audit Services internship provides structured experience in Royal's Audit Services Department. Under the direction of the Audit Services Manager, performs andassistsin conducting financial, operational and compliance auditsin accordance withapplicable auditing standards. Our CommitmentToYou:

• Compensation: $18.64 - 22.46 (candidates with significant related experience may be higher)

Intern Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

• Perform andassistwith operational, financial, and compliance audits by learning and applying basic internal audit skills and applicable standards
• Identify, analyze, evaluate, and document sufficient information to achieve auditobjectives
• Draft constructive recommendations that address identified risks
• Support external audit preparation and complete administrative activities for the Audit Services team
• Protect department and credit union confidentiality, apply professional ethics, collaborate effectively with others, represent Royal's core purpose, values, and organizational culture, and complete assigned duties necessary tocomply withthe Bank Secrecy Act, including CTR and SAR completion when necessary

• Enrolled at a University throughout the length of the internship, pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration

• Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude
• Apply objectivity, logical thinking, analytical judgment, and critical-thinking skills to evaluate information
• Use effective interviewing and listening skills,demonstrateinquisitiveness, and commit to continuous learning and development in auditing, business practices, andnew technologies
• Use Royal’s digital solutions across technology devices anddemonstratean understanding of Microsoft Office products to support audit work, analysis, documentation, and communication

WhatWe’dLoveToSee:

Completed or enrolled in Audit and/or Accounting coursework.

Experience working, volunteering, orparticipatingona team or club while balancingschool work.

Work Schedule:

• Working approximately 14 - 17 hours per week during the school year and 30 hours per week during the breaks. Generally working variable hours between 8:00am – 5:00pm Monday through Friday based on class schedule.
• Must be able to work onsite at Royal Credit Union Corporate Center in Eau Claire, WI throughout the school year and during breaks.
• This is a limited term, non-benefit eligible, position that will go from May 2027 throughMay 2028.
• Must be able to commit to the 12-month internship.

Training:

• Prior to starting a normal work schedule, new Royal team members must attend Foundation Training at our Corporate Center in Eau Claire, WI from 9:00am - 4:30pm on Monday and Tuesday during their first week of employment.Out-of-town learners may be eligible for reimbursement of travel and lodging expenses, subject to Royal's travel and expense reimbursement guidelines.
• Foundation Training covers fundamental information about Royal’s culture and core values which sets the stage for team members to be successful within our organization.
