Job summary

CBIZ, Inc. in Boston seeks an experienced audit leader to oversee engagements for private equity and venture capital portfolio companies. You will guide audit teams, manage deadlines, and build strong client relationships.

This role requires CPA, 8+ years in public accounting, supervisory experience, and willingness to travel to portfolio sites. You will collaborate with tax, advisory and assurance groups to shape go-to-market strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 8 years experience in public accounting or related field.
• 5 years supervisory.
• Must have active CPA or equivalent certification.
• Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements.
• Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as necessary.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally.
• Proficient use of applicable technology.
• Must be able to travel based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor audit teams across PE/VC portfolio audits.
• Travel with audit teams to client locations as needed.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships with investment company owners.
• Collaborate with tax, advisory, and assurance groups to drive go-to-market strategies for portfolio audits.
• Must understand private equity/venture capital investment life cycles, including exits.
• Leverage existing investment company relationships of audit, tax and advisory groups.
• Supported by local assurance resources and national subject matter experts.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned.
