Job summary

Grayson & Associates, P.C. in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, is seeking an Audit Senior for a full-time, hybrid role based in our Murfreesboro office with at least 2-3 days in-office.

The role focuses on in-charge responsibilities for audit, review, and compilation engagements across construction, not-for-profit, real estate, and manufacturing clients, with opportunities to grow toward Manager and potentially partnership as the A&A practice expands.

Qualifications

• CPA license or actively pursuing licensure.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• 2-4 years of audit experience in public accounting.
• Working knowledge of auditing standards and regulations.
• Experience with CaseWare Working Papers and PPC or similar methodology is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as in-charge senior on audit, review, and compilation engagements for clients in construction, not-for-profit, and other industries.
• Prepare and review workpapers using CaseWare Working Papers and PPC methodology.
• Supervise and review the work of audit staff and associates in the field.
• Assist in evaluating internal controls and identifying areas of audit risk.
• Help draft GAAP-basis financial statements and disclosures.
• Communicate with clients during fieldwork to obtain information and resolve open items.
• Prepare tax returns as needed (a plus, not required).
