Job summary

Cherry Bekaert LLP in the Boston area is seeking an Audit Senior for a hybrid role coordinating engagements in Waltham and Bedford. You will guide engagement teams, tailor audit approaches to client risks, and oversee staff to ensure quality and timeliness.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in public accounting, CPA eligibility, and a Bachelor's in accounting (Masters preferred). Experience with Engagement is a plus, acquisition accounting is a bonus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in public accounting.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting; Master’s preferred.
• CPA certified or eligible to pursue licensure.
• Experience with Engagement is a plus.
• Acquisition accounting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Dialogue over engagement efficiencies and client specific risks.
• Develop audit approach to be used by the engagement teams.
• Instruct and oversee fellow A&A Staff throughout engagements.
• Broaden technical knowledge through review of complex client transactions.
• Financial statement preparation and/or review.
• Complete general audit procedures and client communications.
• Research technical issues using online tools.
• Perform other duties as needed on engagements and as assigned by supervisory personnel.
