Cherry Bekaert is seeking an Audit Senior for our Boston office in a hybrid role. You will contribute to audit planning, supervise staff, and ensure high-quality engagement delivery across client engagements.

The role requires 2+ years in public accounting, a Bachelor's in accounting (Master's preferred), and CPA eligibility. Experience with Engagement is a plus and acquisition accounting is advantageous.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of public accounting experience.
• CPA certification or eligibility to pursue CPA.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting; a master's degree is preferred.
• Experience with Engagement is a plus.
• Acquisition accounting experience is a plus.

As an Audit Senior, you will:

• Dialogue over engagement efficiencies and client specific risks
• You will develop audit approach to be used by the engagement teams
• Instruct and oversee fellow A&A Staff throughout engagements
• Broaden technical knowledge through review of complex client transactions
• Financial statement preparation and/or review
• Complete general audit procedures (i.e. coordination of audit closing communications, drafting of client correspondence, resolving open items, etc.)
• Research technical issues using online tools
• Perform other duties as needed on engagements and as assigned by supervisory personnel

Requirements:

• 2+ years’ experience in public accounting
• Experience using Engagement is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• Masters preferred
• CPA certified or the eligibility to work toward obtaining a CPA license
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously (multi-task)
• Acquisition Accounting experience is a plus

Pay Range: 89,000-115,700
