What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Conduct internal and customer audits and security assessments to ensure compliance with the FBI’s CJIS Security Policy
- Develop project plans with milestones and ensure completion of audit and assessment requirements with minimal supervision
- Identify risks and facilitate resolution of issues related to compliance
- Coordinate with third-party auditors to gather evidence and prepare documentation for audits
- Represent CJIS requirements in product development and compliance assessments for various standards including PCI DSS and SOC
What is Required (Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or Legal Studies
- IT or security experience (such as development, QA, or system administration) preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Access, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
- Ability to travel up to 25%
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Progress towards CISA or CIPP certification
- Experience with security compliance and audit processes
- Familiarity with the FBI’s CJIS Security Policy
- Knowledge of data protection practices and principles
- Previous experience in a government or regulated industry
