Job summary

FUJIFILM Biotechnologies seeks a Senior Accountant, Audit Readiness & Operations to lead the financial close, manage audit engagements, and strengthen the control environment. You will coordinate PBCs, serve as main auditor contact, and drive policy standardization across GAAP and regulatory requirements.

The role emphasizes controls over controls, recs remediation, and cross-functional collaboration with Finance, Operations, Legal, and IT to improve reporting reliability and governance.

Qualifications

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required.
• 8+ years relevant Accounting and/or Auditing experience; OR,
• 6+ years with Master’s degree in Finance or related field and relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP; IFRS knowledge preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• ERP (SAP) or similar financial system knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Leads audit engagements and serves as primary contact for external auditors, internal audit, and SOX/compliance partners; manage PBC lists, coordinate walkthroughs, and remediation to disclosure.
• Creates and maintains documented accounting policies and procedures; standardizes processes to reflect GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Implements and monitors controls over controls and internal controls to minimize risk; coordinate testing and evidence gathering.
• Manages monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes with the accounting team; includes variance analysis and reconciliations.
• Coordinates with accounting team to ensure accurate journal entries, reconciliations, and approvals for critical close activities.
• Executes and reviews monthly accounting entries for revenue recognition, accounts receivable, and general accounting in line with policies.
• Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal requirements; partner with external advisors as needed.
• Drives audit readiness with organized documentation, narratives/flowcharts, risk-control matrices and audit-ready evidence.
• Collaborates cross-functionally to address control gaps and improve timeliness of financial reporting.
• Identifies and implements process improvements and automation to shorten the close cycle.
