Job summary

Insite US in New York seeks an experienced Audit Manager to join its Commercial Real Estate practice, taking ownership of engagements from planning through final delivery and serving as the primary contact for clients.

You'll work with real estate developers, owners, operators, private equity funds, REITs and institutional investors, gaining exposure to operating assets and complex investment structures, with hybrid work and career progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of public accounting experience.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting.
• Active CPA licence required.
• Strong audit and assurance experience within a CPA firm.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and GAAS.
• PCAOB knowledge and experience is advantageous.
• Experience planning and managing audit engagements.
• Strong financial statement and disclosure review capabilities.
• Experience supervising and developing audit professionals.
• Ability to research and resolve technical accounting issues.
• Excellent client-facing and communication skills.
• Strong organisational and project management capabilities.
• Experience with CASEWARE/ProSystem fx or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage and deliver commercial real estate audit engagements.
• Establish engagement timelines, budgets, staffing requirements and audit strategy.
• Identify key financial reporting and audit risks and determine the appropriate audit approach.
• Lead fieldwork and oversee Seniors and Staff throughout engagements.
• Review workpapers and ensure documentation meets firm and professional standards.
• Review financial statements, disclosures and audit reports prior to Partner review.
• Research and resolve complex accounting and auditing matters.
• Advise clients on technical accounting and financial reporting issues.
• Maintain regular communication with Controllers, CFOs and other senior client contacts.
• Monitor engagement economics and ensure assignments are completed efficiently and within agreed deadlines.
• Work closely with Partners on significant engagement issues and client developments.

Work Arrangement: Hybrid – typically 3 days per week with the team

A leading national CPA and advisory firm is looking for an experienced Audit Manager to join its specialist Commercial Real Estate practice in New York.

This is an opportunity to build your career within a dedicated real estate group rather than operating as a generalist. You'll work with an established portfolio of real estate developers, owners, operators, private equity funds, REITs and investment groups, gaining exposure to both operating assets and more complex investment and development structures.

The position offers significant client interaction, responsibility for engagement delivery and the opportunity to develop deeper expertise within one of the firm's core industry groups.

The Real Estate Practice

The team works exclusively with organizations operating and investing across the real estate market.

Clients range from privately held developers and property owners through to institutional investors, funds and larger real estate groups, with engagements covering a variety of property types and investment structures.

You'll gain exposure to areas including:

Your Role

As Audit Manager, you'll take ownership of engagements from initial planning through final delivery while acting as the main day-to-day contact for your clients.

What We're Looking For
