Job summary

Jobtailor in San Francisco seeks a CPA with 5+ years of auditing/assurance experience to lead client engagements in the financial services sector. You will supervise fieldwork, mentor junior staff, and provide guidance on financial-statement issues and internal controls.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree required
• CPA required
• Five (5) years of experience providing auditing/assurance services required
• Assurance experience in the Financial Services industry, preferably Mortgage Banking or Financial Institutions/Banking
• Two (2) years of supervisory experience, mentoring and counseling associates desired
• Demonstrated management, analytical, organization, interpersonal, project management, and communication skills
• Ability to lead and supervise others
• Ability to provide exceptional client service
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying current regarding applicable strategies
• Ability to see the big picture as well as the details
• Appropriate ethical knowledge and commitment
• Sense of urgency and commitment to quality and timely completion of projects
• Highly developed software and Microsoft Suite skills
• Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide assurance and consulting services to financial services clients
• Engage proactively with clients throughout the year to understand business goals and challenges
• Implement testing to assess internal-control deficiencies and recommend improvements
• Manage fieldwork to ensure quality service and timely delivery of results
• Provide financial-statement guidance and business recommendations based on testing and gathered information
• Deliver business insight through review, analysis, and discussion
• Assist with client engagement staffing, billings, and collections
• Ensure client profitability targets are met
• Network and build relationships internally, externally, with clients, and with the community
• Participate in firm-wide learning and development programs
• Support team-member growth through the Baker Tilly Care and Teach philosophy
• Mentor and coach staff and collaborate with firm leadership to serve clients and build the business
