Myers and Stauffer LC is a CPA and health services consulting firm specializing in government health programs. We seek a seasoned audit professional to lead engagements, supervise staff, and ensure quality deliverables under tight deadlines.

You will mentor junior staff, review fieldwork, and coordinate staffing while applying Medicare/Medicaid regulations. Travel is required based on client needs and projects.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• Master's degree preferred; CPA certification strongly preferred.
• At least 6 years of related experience with minimum 3 years in supervision.
• Experience leading audit engagements, healthcare regulations experience (Medicare/Medicaid).
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Provide leadership on audit engagements and supervise staff to deliver quality work on time.
• Assist in completing project deliverables and manage audit workflow.
• Perform quality assurance reviews on working papers and reports.
• Schedule field audit dates and perform final review of fieldwork.
• Coordinate staffing to meet deadlines and mentor staff with timely feedback.
• Maintain confidentiality of protected health information and adapt to client needs.

Essential Functions and Primary Duties

Provide strong leadership on audit engagements, effectively supervising staff to provide quality deliverables within the defined deadlinesAssist in completing project deliverables and manage flow of audits through required processProvide quality assurance reviews on audit and attestation working papers and reports completed by other team membersSchedule field audit dates with providersPerform final review of audit fieldworkPerform various assignments relating to health care reimbursementCoordinate staffing on projects to meet strict deadlinesProvide high level technical knowledge and training to staffMentor staff by delivering timely feedbackMaintain security of and confidentiality of all protected health informationAdditional responsibilities as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree CPA certificationAt least 6 years' of related experience Minimum 3 years' of supervisory experience Must have experience leading audit engagementsDemonstrated high level of expertise with Medicare and Medicaid regulationsStrong analytical and problem solving skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsWell organized with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detailMust be able to learn a significant amount of information in a short time-frameEffectively manage multiple deadlines and prioritize assignmentsProficient use of applicable software programs, including Microsoft Word and ExcelExperience with project management (Pro Systems FX) software preferredMust be able to travel based on client and business needs
