Audit Manager

Locations: Fort Lauderdale, FL

We are seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join our dynamic team. This role involves leading and participating in audit engagements, overseeing their execution, training staff, and ensuring audit quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with Audit Department standards.
• Complete audit activities within set schedules.
• Oversee audit tasks in areas of high complexity and exposure.
• Contribute to the development of audit standards, policies, and practices.
• Supervise, train, mentor, and evaluate staff, fostering a strong team effort.
• Maintain professional relationships with senior client management and audit clients.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Possess working knowledge of the Internal Revenue Code.

Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with standard auditing practices and procedures, including FASB regulations, GAAS, and GAAP.
• Good interpersonal skills for interviewing audit subjects.
• Ability to utilize available resources to complete projects.
• Proficient in documenting and recording audit findings using computers.
• Understanding of company operations and internal department correlations.

Training and Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting.
• Minimum of 7 years of public accounting experience as an audit professional.
• Licensed CPA.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite; proficiency in ProSystem fx Tax, Engagement, and Fixed Assets is a plus.
