Job summary

LeoForce is seeking an experienced Audit Manager in Indianapolis to lead engagement teams and oversee multiple client engagements with quality and timeliness. The role focuses on strong client relationships, staff mentorship, and adherence to GAAP and auditing standards.

You will collaborate with firm leadership on process improvements and strategic growth initiatives, driving excellence across assurance services and risk management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive public accounting experience with audit/assurance.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and auditing standards.
  • Experience managing multiple client engagements and supervising staff.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with accounting software, audit technologies, Microsoft Office, and cloud-based applications.

What You'll Do
Engagement Leadership
  • Plan, manage, and oversee multiple audit, review, compilation, and attestation engagements simultaneously.
  • Ensure engagements are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with professional standards.
  • Review workpapers, financial statements, reports, and client deliverables for quality and accuracy.
  • Identify and resolve technical accounting and auditing issues as they arise.
  • Manage engagement risk assessments and ensure compliance with regulatory and professional requirements.
Client Relationship Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the engagement lifecycle.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business owners, executives, boards, and finance leaders.
  • Understand client operations and proactively identify opportunities for value-added services.
  • Present audit findings, recommendations, and insights to client leadership teams.
  • Help clients navigate complex accounting matters and evolving compliance requirements.
Team Leadership & Development
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop audit seniors, staff accountants, and emerging leaders.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
  • Delegate assignments effectively while maintaining engagement quality standards.
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, and staff development initiatives.
  • Foster a collaborative culture focused on continuous learning and professional growth.
Firm Leadership & Process Improvement
  • Partner with leadership to enhance audit methodologies, efficiencies, and best practices.
  • Stay current on changes in accounting standards, auditing guidance, and industry trends.
  • Contribute to strategic planning initiatives and practice growth efforts.
  • Participate in business development, networking, and community engagement activities.
  • Assist with identifying new service opportunities within existing client relationships.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive public accounting experience with a concentration in audit and assurance services.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and auditing standards.
  • Experience managing multiple client engagements and supervising professional staff.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain trusted client relationships.
  • Proficiency with accounting software, audit technologies, Microsoft Office, and cloud-based applications.
