Job description

The ideal candidate is an experienced public accounting professional with a proven track record of leading external audit engagements and managing a varied client portfolio.

This position is suited to someone who enjoys balancing technical audit work with client advisory responsibilities while leading and developing junior team members.

The role involves overseeing engagements from initial planning through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, on schedule, and in line with professional standards.

Responsibilities include reviewing financial reporting, assessing risk and internal controls, providing practical solutions to technical issues, and acting as a trusted advisor to clients throughout the engagement process.

Candidates should be comfortable managing multiple priorities, coordinating engagement teams, reviewing the work of less experienced staff, and supporting their ongoing professional development.

Strong relationship-building skills are essential, as the role requires regular communication with clients and collaboration across internal teams.

To be considered, applicants should hold an active CPA licence, a degree in Accounting, and have a minimum of five years' experience within a public accounting environment.

Exposure to a broad client base across industries such as commercial businesses, technology, manufacturing, distribution, professional services, and nonprofit organisations would be beneficial.

Experience with audit engagement software and excellent written, analytical, and organisational skills are also highly valued.
