Wipfli in Wisconsin is seeking an intern accountant to support client engagements, gather information, perform data analysis, and help prepare financial statements and notes.

You will work with engagement leaders, develop GAAP knowledge for product lines, and contribute to process improvements while meeting deadlines. The role emphasizes communication, independence, and teamwork in a professional services setting, with opportunities to learn CPA concepts during the internship.

Qualifikationen

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Respond to client and firm associate requests promptly and professionally
• Gather necessary information from clients to complete required documents
• Use data analysis skills to identify useful information and support recommendations
• Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency
• Perform audit, review, and compliance testing procedures per firm and professional standards
• Communicate with engagement leaders regarding open items and testing issues
• Prepare or review financial statements, footnotes, management reports, and other engagement outputs
• Develop technical competency with GAAP related to assigned product lines
• Work individually and as part of a team to support client engagements

About You

The company is looking for candidates who meet the following qualifications:

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, including completion of corporate or individual taxation class
• Preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher demonstrating above average accounting knowledge
• Working towards eligibility to sit for the CPA exam upon graduation
• Preferred coursework in Data Analytics or Big Data
• Ability to think independently and make informed decisions
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and staff
• Ability to prioritize work, take initiative, follow through on requests, and meet deadlines
• Must be legally authorized to work full-time in the United States without sponsorship
