Job summary

Calibre invites students to participate in a Summer Internship of 10 weeks in the Audit department, working with Partners, Managers, Seniors and Staff to foster professional development. Interns will be guided by experienced professionals in a collaborative environment and engage in special projects and social events.

Intern responsibilities include assisting in audits, documenting controls, and preparing work papers and financial statements.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with a strong academic record.
• Completion of the Intermediate Accounting course is preferred.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 is required; strong communication is essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare audit work papers and financial statements.
• Assist in preparing management letters and tax forms (Form 5500/990).

Job description

Summer Internship

Our internship program provides an opportunity to spend 10 weeks TBD during the summer working alongside our Partners, Managers, Seniors and Staff in an environment devoted exclusively to your development. As an intern, you will work primarily in our Audit department under the guidance of experienced professionals on audit engagements for a variety of clients. Throughout the internship there will be multiple opportunities to engage with the staff on special projects and during social events.

$28.00 per hour

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting in the audit of selected financial statement accounts
• Documenting accounting systems and internal controls
• Preparing appropriate audit work papers
• Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and management letters
• Preparation of tax returns, primarily Form 5500 (employee benefit plans) and Form 990 (tax-exempt organizations)
• Special projects as needed

Qualifications include:

• Pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Completion of the Intermediate Accounting course
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Involvement in extra-curricular and volunteer activities is preferred

Over the course of the summer you will participate in a number of social activities with fellow interns and staff such as bowling, escape rooms, indoor mini golf, etc. and the annual company-wide picnic. Interns will have a staff “buddy” during the summer who will take you to lunch and other outings with various staff members and Partners.
