Job summary

Cohen & Co. is offering a hands-on internship in Akron, OH, designed to give you real client experience beyond routine clerical tasks. You’ll work on audit assignments, engage with colleagues, and receive feedback to grow your accounting skills.

The program runs early June through early August 2027, with full-time (32-40 hours/week) or part-time (20-25 hours/week) options. A strong academic record and CPA credit-hour pursuit are preferred.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's or Master's in Accounting.
• Completed introductory accounting course(s) and at least one intermediate accounting course before the internship program start date.
• GPA of at least 3.0.
• Pursuing required CPA credit hours.

Responsibilities

• Get involved in real audit work, perform testing, assist with reporting, and ensure compliance across engagements.
• Connect with peers, mentors and engagement teams through client work and internship experiences.
• Receive ongoing feedback to sharpen technical skills and develop as a professional.
• Participate in firm initiatives like business development, recruitment, DEI, and community service.
