Job summary

Snodgrass seeks interns for its Audit and Assurance Group’s nonprofit clients, mainly in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. The internship runs January 2027 through April 2027 and offers hands-on experience with financial statement audits.

Interns work in-person in Wheeling, WV, with a 20-hour per week schedule, starting junior or senior year, GPA 3.0+ preferred, and will gain exposure to client work and reporting processes.

Qualifications

• Internship to start during candidate’s junior or senior year of school; candidates completing their master’s program will also be considered
• GPA 3.0 or greater is preferred
• Availability to work in-person, 20 hours per week (Monday through Friday); set schedule required
• Working towards a bachelor’s degree in accounting
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized with good time management skills
• Snodgrass does not currently sponsor candidates for employment

Responsibilities

• Perform select sections and steps of the financial statement audit
• Maintain ongoing communication and keep firm management apprised of fieldwork status
• Accurately complete various projects and prepare reports/documents for management’s review, using established firm policies and procedures
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team
