Job summary

PricewaterhouseCoopers is seeking an Audit Intern in the United States (Phoenix area) to gain exposure to financial statement audits within the Assurance practice. You will support teams, learn PwC methodologies, and contribute to project goals through a learning mindset.

You will perform basic tasks, conduct research, and observe professional audit environments, developing commercial awareness and a foundation for your future career in audit and assurance.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• At least a 3.0 overall GPA.
• Before starting full-time at PwC, meet educational requirements to sit for the CPA exam in your state.
• Entry-level internship with possible third-year/four-year program timing.

Responsibilities

• Supporting audit teams in conducting financial statement audits and gaining exposure to auditing methodologies.
• Participating in the review and verification of financial documents to uphold transparency and compliance with accounting standards.
• Assisting in the analysis and interpretation of financial data to identify trends and provide insights for decision-making.
• Engaging in the documentation of audit processes and findings to maintain organized and consistent records.
• Learning and applying GAAP and GAAS in audit tasks.
• Collaborating with team members to monitor and analyze financial trends and assess risk factors.
• Contributing to the evaluation of internal controls and identifying areas for improvement.
• Utilizing data analysis to support the audit process and enhance financial reporting quality.
• Observing and learning from experienced auditors to develop foundational audit practices and client interactions.
