Opsahl Dawson invites applicants for a Summer 2027 Audit Intern position in Bellevue, WA. This internship starts in July 2027 and offers real-world audit exposure while you learn from experienced professionals.

You will gain hands-on experience in planning, testing, and documenting audit work, with mentorship and networking opportunities to kickstart your career in accounting and auditing.

Qualifications

• Senior or fifth year student working towards bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA eligible.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and audit programs, preferably CCH Engagement.
• Knowledge of GAAP and GAAS; GAS Yellow Book knowledge is a plus.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Analytical skills, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Engagement planning process.
• Perform audit procedures on financial statement account balances, prepare and adjust work papers from clients' trial balance.
• Research accounting issues.
• Recognize potential problem areas and discuss with the engagement supervisor.
• Identify potential management letter comments.
• Assume full responsibility (under supervision) for prepared/compiled and reviewed financial statements.
• Draft audited financial statements, including footnote disclosures.
• Perform other accounting, auditing, and consulting duties as needed.
